Twenty-eight hand-written groups feed the New Girl boards, from easy surname sets like the Days and the Millers to purple ones built on seasons and spelling. The overlaps do the damage. Jess fits her own family, the women Nick dated, the pilot cast and the names with a double letter, so a board with two of those has to be solved by elimination. Pair groups want two whole couples, parents with children or grandparents with their grandkids, and the season groups ask who first turned up in season 2, in season 4, or from season 5 on. Every pictured character except Remy the landlord can be a tile.
About Groups
Sixteen New Girl characters hide four groups of four: a family, a job, a place, the season they first appeared. Pick four you think belong together and submit. A right four locks in as a coloured row, from yellow (easiest) to purple (hardest); a wrong one costs one of your four mistakes. Three out of four gets you a "One away". Some characters seem to fit two groups, but there's always exactly one answer. New board at midnight your time.
